The problem: around 95% of the several billion beauty packaging units made each year end up in landfill, creating mountains of waste for generations to come. Only a small percentage of plastic in kerbside recycling schemes ends up actually being recycled. Businesses like us need to lead by example and make sustainability an easier choice for everyone.

That's why we want our bottles returned to close the loop*.

Reusing (glass)

We take back, sterilise and refill our glass bottles (250ml) and jars (50ml/100ml).

Recycling (plastic)

We take back our 100% sugarcane plastic bottles (200ml). Our NZ recycling partner processes them and makes them into new Ethos & Co bottles.

Returns to stockists:

Please rinse with hot water & return your used clean bottles & jars to a participating stockist; used containers will be sent back to Ethos & Co for reuse or our own recycling.

Returns direct to us:

Collect a minimum of six Ethos product containers (bottles or jars). Please rinse empty containers with hot water & dry first. For glass, pack tightly in a box (use waste paper to fill any gaps in the box)) to avoid breakage in transit.
